Make a Difference! For many seniors and people with disabilities, the trusted Meals on Wheels volunteer who shows up every day with a hot meal and a warm smile is the only person they see or speak to all day. This special delivery is a reason for each recipient to get up in the morning and have something to look forward to! It doesn't get any better than that!
Volunteer ResponsibilitiesMeals are delivered every weekday during lunchtime hours. Routes take a maximum of two hours to complete. You can volunteer as often as you like - based on your schedule. Volunteering just once a month can make a significant difference to those in need!
Meals are picked up in Duluth and delivered to between eight and ten homes per route in the Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Berkeley Lake, and Duluth areas of Gwinnett County. Everyone is welcome - and encouraged - to volunteer. Men and women, young and old, families, retirees, professionals – come make a difference in the life of one member of your community! What a great feeling! Other Ways to Get InvolvedWhile delivering meals is our biggest volunteer need, there are still a number of ways you can get involved with Meals on Wheels. You may choose an activity from the list below or share your own ideas with us. These volunteer opportunities are also excellent ways to help seniors and individuals with disabilities in your community! We look forward to working with you to brighten someone’s day!
